Take over the old run down cafe of a former shrunken head owner without a taste for good coffee inside a nightmarish dimension! Your monstrous customers strive for just deadly good hot drinks, a vibrant and peaceful environment while you run the shop and keep out hostile anomalies.

Still on going ^_^
This project started out as just a small portfolio project wich goal it is to release it on steam within just a few months of development.
Throughout the project, I receive huge help from a few collagues I worked with on One S'More as well as someone new I never worked with before ^_^
As for now, I prepare everything to release a short Demo on steam within the next month while also looking for job offers as this is at the time im writing this, my main focus.
For this project, I tried another approach by iterating through styles and setting ideas at first. The core idea was about a cafe in a dark halloween like horror environment with a cozy twist.
Just by sketching a bit around inside Affinity Photo and building a very basic blockout inside Unity, I wanted to gain impressions of feel, color and scale of what might be possible for a little cafe game.
While important some of my master project code structure for basic interactions, placing objects and more, I was able to directly take a deep dive in how I wanted the style to look like. I created some props based on my sketches to see how well it would fit the atmosphere and the game feel visually. The core principle I was using was, to make it as quick and simple and be as cheesy as possible especially with textures. With that I was able to quickly build a base direction for the environment style which was also very cheap to achieve as most textures followed two steps. The first was a high contrast Ambient Occlusion pass combined with a curvature map within Blenders material setup which is baked as the basecolor. The second step is to use high contrast scrappy wood texture masks to achieve the scratched look.
The gameloop at this point was making progress as I was creating the hero objects such as the coffee mixer and the customers who will receive the coffee.
As it's still in development, I will update this page further through out the development process.
