Vector Art is something I only learned about and developed recently in the past 2-3 years. As I was switching fully to the Affinity Suit, I quickly adabt much more to the usage of Affinity Publisher and Designer for UI texture development, social media header creation and much more.
The good showcase for my abilities under high pressure are the Steam Achievements I created within 2 days for our game project One S'More.
Since we all had lot's of tasks to do, I was assigned to fully inform myself about the implementation of the Steam Achievements, Design them, Create the Images Unlocked and Locked states as well as implement and test them. The complete process took around 4 days of which 1 day was fully dedicated to get the backend running.
I tried to gain as much feedback as possible but our team was clearly exhausted after the release which happened not just a week before.
My first steps inside Vector art happened to be the design of UI/UX symbols for various menus and editor tools within our projects. A followed the core art direction for each project or used already created images for prototyping and placeholders to get first impressions and ui communication running.
A very handy usage was also the creation of Event Headers for Steam Announcements, Social Media, generally banner creation, full panel conception for inventory and other menus as well the creation of ornamental symbols and decoration.
Today I use vector art for pretty much everything that needs to be done quick and doesn't recuire too much detailed texturing,
